My Fantasy Pin Journey

I've never been the biggest roller coaster enthusiast, but Disney park food? I'm all in!

Cutesy Cravings combined my love for Disneyland snacks with six beloved characters: Rapunzel, Marie, Baymax, Remy, Mulan, and Ariel.

One of my personal favorites was Marie enjoying the Harbor Galley cookies, one of my absolute favorite Disneyland treats!

My Enchanted Doorways collection continued with Baymax, Carl, Remy, and Judy Hopps!

While Baymax came directly from my own collection, the other characters were inspired by requests from my supporters.

I started making fantasy pins because I couldn't find enough designs featuring characters I loved. I wanted to give other collectors that same opportunity by listening to what they wished existed, too!

Inspired by the adorable Cuties pins from Disney Studio Store Hollywood, I introduced my Tinies Series with a collection dedicated to Elemental!

At the time, I remember there being only around 30 authentic Elemental pins, and as a completist, I desperately wanted more.

One particularly special design featured Bernie, Ember's dad, who I believed had never appeared on an authentic or fantasy pin before!

Enchanted Doorways returned with two highly requested characters: Wade and Merida!

Naturally, I couldn't resist another opportunity to feature Elemental, while continuing to bring my supporters' favorite characters into the collection.

This was the beginning of what would become my largest fantasy pin series to date!

First Class Postage launched with an adorable lineup of characters inspired by recommendations from my supporters.

Unlike many of my other collections, this series was created specifically around community requests and polls, giving collectors the opportunity to help choose which characters would receive their own little postage stamp.

It has continued growing through the ideas and enthusiasm of my supporters ever since!

Of course, I couldn't have a collection filled with adorable characters without including Baymax!

His First Class Postage debut quickly became one of my bestselling fantasy pin designs to date.

I absolutely adored how he turned out, and seeing so much love for him made this release especially memorable!

The Baymax love wasn't slowing down!

With additional requests for more Baymax designs, I expanded First Class Postage with an adorable Armored Baymax variant, giving one of my bestselling characters another look!

Ember finally joined my Enchanted Doorways collection!

Interestingly, this design didn't receive nearly as much attention when it first released. Over time, however, it became one of my most requested restocks!

Although Ember hasn't returned for a restock just yet, it's been amazing seeing how much the love for her design has grown.

I returned to my original Profile Series one last time with four beautiful designs: Armored Baymax, Sorcerer Mickey, Stitch, and Powerline!

This became the final regular release of my classic profiles, closing out one of my earliest fantasy pin collections with some more beloved characters.

First Class Postage continued growing at an incredible pace!

Series Three featured some adorable sidekicks, including Mushu and Pascal, while additional community-inspired characters continued joining the collection through Series Four.

What started as one release was quickly becoming an ongoing celebration of everyone's favorite characters!

Just like that, we reached Series Five!

This release introduced Angel, Perdita, Squirt, Eeyore, and Grogu, bringing even more variety to the growing postage collection.

One of my favorite things about this series is seeing characters from completely different stories come together in one adorable style!

My next collaboration was with Stitch Vibes Pins, creating an adorable crossover featuring Figment dressed as Maleficent!

This gorgeous design combined a little imagination with a little villainous magic.

It also became a special bonus addition to my Profile Series, allowing me to revisit one of my earliest collections in a fun new way!

If there's one thing I've made clear throughout my fantasy journey, it's that I absolutely love Baymax and Mochi!

Hopes and Dreams was a special standalone design featuring the two in an adorable, cuddly moment.

Unlike many of my other creations, this wasn't intended to become a continuing series. It was simply a design I loved and wanted to bring to life!

My next collaboration was with Qiqi Couture, bringing a little Hawaiian island magic into my fantasy creations!

Inspired by Disney's Aulani Resort, Qiqi's Hawaiian heritage, and my love for Hawaii, we created a beautiful three-pin collection celebrating the islands.

This collaboration was especially meaningful to me because Aulani holds such a special place in my heart. It's where my husband and I got married, so being able to create a collection inspired by a place filled with so many wonderful memories made this release even more personal.

This release also marked two exciting firsts for Great Stone Dragon: my first-ever three-pin set and a collection offered exclusively as an in-hand release!

Just one week after Tinker Bell's release, Baymax joined the I Wish collection!

As one of my favorite characters to collect, he was a natural choice for the series and quickly became one of my personal favorite designs.

This release came directly from a small group of fellow Elemental completists!

They wanted a special fantasy design to help fill a space in their collections where a particularly difficult-to-obtain authentic pin would have been.

As a completist myself, I understood exactly where they were coming from!

Created in an extremely limited quantity, this became my first and, to date, only Discord-exclusive fantasy pin.

It was a wonderful reminder of how meaningful it is to create something specifically for collectors who share the same passion.

My obsession with all things cute continued with Dorables!

Inspired by the iconic Disneyland "D," this series features beloved characters positioned in front of the recognizable letter design.

Naturally, I kicked things off with Baymax and Mochi!

The response was incredible, making this one of my largest releases to date and an especially memorable addition to my fantasy journey.

With Magical Destinations, I wanted to celebrate not just our favorite characters, but the beautiful worlds they call home!

The first release featured Element City, Firetown, China, and San Fransokyo, all inspired by stories that have played such an important role in my collecting journey.

This series gave me a new opportunity to capture the magic of the places surrounding the characters I adore.

Next came my Dorables series, featuring two of Disney’s most beloved heroines, Mulan and Pocahontas!

I wanted this collection to celebrate these incredible women and give them the recognition they deserve. Both characters represent strength, courage, and the determination to stand up for what they believe in, making them such meaningful figures in Disney storytelling.

As someone who has always loved Mulan, this release was especially meaningful because it marked my first-ever depiction of her as Ping! Getting to showcase this important part of her story, where she demonstrates incredible bravery and determination, made the design even more special to me.

This series was all about honoring these iconic heroines and celebrating the qualities that make them so unforgettable!

Our Ambassadors of World Showcase collaboration with 3M Pintastic returned with another exciting release featuring Luigi, Guido, Kermit, Sam Eagle, and Rapunzel!

I especially loved highlighting Luigi and Guido, two characters we rarely see represented on pins. Giving overlooked characters their moment to shine is one of my favorite parts of creating fantasy pins, and this collaboration continues to celebrate our shared love for EPCOT and World Showcase!

What's Next for Great Stone Dragon?

Looking back, it's incredible to think my fantasy pin journey began with just two Enchanted Doorways designs featuring Mulan and Belle.

Since then, I've created new collections, collaborated with amazing members of the pin community, celebrated my cultural heritage, and brought countless beloved characters to life.

Through it all, one thing has never changed: I still create fantasy pins with the heart of a collector.

With exciting new series planned for the rest of 2026 and into 2027, there's still so much more magic to come!
